First of all, thank you for coming out and supporting your son/daughter/friend during this tournament. It is a wonderful feeling knowing our students/players have great support from their parents, siblings, and friends. Saying that, however, it is imperative that those who have decided to venture out on the golf course as spectators, be aware of some very important rules that are required of them. Please abide by the following spectator rules in all tournaments to avoid any penalties to the players of the group you have decided to watch.
1. You must remain on the cart path at ALL times (even if you‘re
walking).
(Exception: you may leave the cart path if a natural
obstruction such as a hill obstructs your view,
but the golf cart must remain on the cart
path and you must stay a minimum of 30ft away
from the group)
2. You are a spectator during this time and NO coaching may
occur at all during the course of play. (ONLY coaches can
coach their players)
3. You MAY NOT give any player food or beverage during the
round. (ONLY coaches may give their players food and
beverages)
4. You MAY NOT interfere with rulings or play under any
circumstances. (The players have been instructed to play
two balls if there is a ruling question)
5. Scorekeeping is the responsibility of the players… NOT the
spectators. (If a spectator feels there is some
questionable play, the spectator must report it to a
coach, NOT the players in the group)
6. Spectators will consider this "spectator rules sheet" as
their one and only warning to the rules. If any of the
above rules are violated, the spectator will be asked to
leave the course. If the spectator refuses, the player
that the spectator came to watch will be subject to
penalty strokes and/or disqualification.
Thank you for attending this event but these are rules spectators MUST follow at ALL tournaments. Please abide by the rules and may you and the player you came to watch have a wonderful day.
