According to UIL, grades 9-12 students cannot play for anything of value except trophies or plaques. Any team that the student plays on must declare itself ineligible to win any prizes of value. Missouri Valley College is an NAIA college that competes in the Heart of America Conference. Ariana will switch from being a Lady Jaguar to becoming a Lady Viking. Economedes High School head golf coach is Antonio A. Mercado and is assisted by Nilani Sanchez-Wilson.

The La Joya ISD will be hosting on March 1 & 2 at Howling Trails and Edinburg ISD has rescheduled their cancelled tournament to March 8 & 9 at Monte Cristo GC. Both invites have been posted but coaches must call the contact person on the invite for Edinburg to register. Time is crucial so if coaches want to enter one or both of these tournaments, they must make contact asap.

ANNOUNCEMENT: COACHES... The Edcouch-Elsa VARSITY tournament date has changed. The tournament is now going to be held on January 26-27, 2024. All teams who registered on time are STILL in the field, however, if any team in the field cannot make the new date, please notify Adrian Garcia so the RGVGCA can make adjustments to the field.

ANNOUNCEMENT: COACHES... The invitations for the RGVGCA/La Joya tournaments will be posted at 6am this Friday Sept 8. Please be aware ALL RGVGCA tournaments are on a "first come, first serve" basis so make sure to wake up early to sign up... even the host schools. Fields close once 130 players are signed up and a waiting list is then created according to the time stamp the schools sign up at.

ANNOUNCEMENT: COACHES... There will be a Coaches Meeting on August 3, 2023 at 9am at the Llano Grande Golf Course in Mercedes. At this meeting we will discuss the 23-24 school year golf schedule, scholarship recipients, and other important items. This meeting is MANDATORY for any coach that will be hosting a tournament this school year who would like the RGVGCA to run and regulate the event. If the host school is NOT represented by the coach at this meeting, the RGVGCA will NOT run and regulate their tournament.
